About the programme

This short course forms Part 1 of a two-part TESOL programme and is designed as an introductory module to the field of English language teaching. The programme provides a foundational overview of key TESOL concepts, including language learning theories, learner needs, ethical and professional considerations, and the development of the four core language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It also introduces essential teaching systems such as grammar and vocabulary, as well as the principles of effective lesson planning.

The focus of TESOL 1A is on establishing a strong conceptual and methodological foundation that prepares students for further practical application in TESOL 1B, where these principles are extended into more applied teaching contexts.
