In terms of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (Act No. 2 of 2000), Cornerstone Institute has compiled this manual to guide how members of the public can request access to information held by the Institute.

Requests can be made for records, including, but not limited to:

• Academic records and program information
• Policies and procedures
• Financial and administrative records
• Governance documents

3. Access Procedure
Requests for information must be submitted in writing, clearly describing the records sought. Requests will be processed in accordance with the PAIA Act, and any applicable fees will be communicated.

4. Grounds for Refusal
Access may be refused on certain grounds as permitted by the Act, including but not limited to:

• Protection of the personal information of third parties
• Confidential commercial information
• Records privileged in law
