How do shifting contexts influence our work in higher education,
and how should we respond to them?

We welcome abstracts on the sub themes below, by 26 April 2024. Should your abstract be accepted, the due date for the complete research output is 24 May 2024. The conference is set to take place on 17 July 2024. If your conference paper is accepted, it may also be considered for publication in the 2024 volume of the African Journal for Non-Profit Higher Education.

Conference Information

The Cornerstone Conference aims to create academic dialogue between researchers from various institutions in Africa and beyond. The focus of the conference is on higher education and prevailing social issues. This year, it takes place as follows:

17 July 2024 (08:30 – 18:00)

Auditorium, Cornerstone Institute, 1 Cedar Street, Sandown, Milnerton Rural, Western Cape

Higher education (HE) in a changing world: How do shifting contexts influence our work in HE, and how should we respond to them? (see subthemes below)

20-minute in-person presentation or interview; 10-minute video presentation or interview; 30-minute discussion facilitation; A1 portrait printed poster; A4 portrait digital poster; 500-word opinion piece; 200-word book review

Successful conference submissions are also considered for publication in the African Journal of Non-Profit Higher Education (AJNPHE).
