TEFL 120 Hours (Teaching English as a Foreign Language)

Course goals
TEFL is a teacher training program aimed to introduce new TEFL teachers to the theory and practice of teaching English to foreign students.

Course objectives
At the end of the course, students should be able to

  • Acquire an in depth understanding of language systems and skills
  • Be able to prepare lesson plans for ESL learners of all proficiency levels
  • Teachers should be able to demonstrate teaching techniques in the classroom using classic teaching methodology
  • Be fully trained in teaching English online

Course Policies and Expectations

Classroom and Communication Policies

Attendance and Participation

Students are expected to attend the course daily at the stipulated times. Classroom participation is mandatory as classroom activities and discussions form part of the course assessment mark.

Assignments and Submission Guidelines

Written assignments  will be graded in  the student workbook as well as in writing via email.

Teaching practical examination will be graded towards the end of the course, once all course material has been covered.
