Cornerstone Institute will be hosting its annual Festival of Learning from 4-9 December 2017. This Festival is a celebration of the inquiry into our world, our environment, the social spaces we occupy, the challenges we face and the solutions we are discovering together to change our world by making it a better place.

We invite various academics, activists, theologians, artists and prospective students to engage these challenging questions of our times and to offer possible solutions. It is not only a time of sobering enquiry but also of hope and celebration as together we find ways to make our world a better place!

We will have distinguished guests such as Dr Ruben Richards, Patricia Fahrenfort, Dr Sharon Johnson, Narissa Philander, Beulah Thumbadoo, Prof. Sharlene Swartz, Prof. Shaun Viljoen, Gail van Breda and others who will deliver keynotes, do workshops and discuss various topics as diverse as:

  • Mindfulness and Psychology
  • The Written word as catharsis
  • Restitution and Whiteness
