Are you a love addict?

People who are especially considerate, kind and loving are an asset to society. They can however, love ‘too much’ and then be taken advantage of, abused or manipulated. Both the church and Western culture send confusing messages about love, so it is not always easy to discern how to love in a healthy way. It’s possible, with self-reflection, to take a closer look at how you love. This course will help you to take the first steps to determine whether you are loving, and being loved, in a healthy and life-giving way.

The course is geared towards anybody interested in examining their relationships, counsellors, pastors, doctors, and those who work with people who are emotionally vulnerable or in need.

About the Presenter: Desiree De Villiers is a Pastor who specialises in Counselling and has worked as a teacher, lecturer and counselor for the past ten years. She is especially interested in the inter-disciplinary space between Theology and Psychology, and also research in identifying and dealing with sex addiction. The course she is presenting is entitled; “Are you a Love Addict?” The course will suit anybody who is interested in examining their relationships; counselors, pastors, doctors, those who work with people who are emotionally vulnerable or in need.
